1. Company Information

These terms and conditions govern your use of the services provided by ESSD Construction LTD ("the Company", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. Our registered address is Croydon, CR0 2RT.

2. Services

ESSD Construction LTD provides plastering, plasterboarding, drylining, and related construction services for residential properties across London. All services are subject to availability and an initial site assessment.

3. Quotations and Pricing

  • All quotations are provided free of charge and without obligation.
  • Quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • Quoted prices include labour and materials unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  • Additional work not covered in the original quotation will be quoted separately and agreed upon before commencement.
  • We reserve the right to adjust pricing if the scope of work changes or unforeseen conditions are discovered.

4. Payment Terms

  • Payment terms are agreed in writing before work commences.
  • For smaller projects, full payment is due upon satisfactory completion of the work.
  • For larger projects, staged payments may be agreed. A deposit may be required for material procurement.
  • Payment can be made by bank transfer, cash, or other agreed methods.
  • Late payments may incur interest at the statutory rate as permitted under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

  • Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled start date.
  • Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee to cover costs already incurred.
  • We reserve the right to reschedule work due to adverse weather conditions or circumstances beyond our control.

6. Quality of Work

  • All work is carried out to industry standards using quality materials.
  • We guarantee our workmanship. Any defects arising from our work within 12 months of completion will be rectified at no additional cost, subject to normal wear and tear.
  • This guarantee does not cover damage caused by third parties, structural movement, or failure to follow our aftercare advice.

7. Property Access and Preparation

  • The client is responsible for providing clear access to the work area.
  • We will take reasonable care to protect surrounding areas during work using dust sheets and protective coverings.
  • We are not responsible for pre-existing damage to the property or issues revealed during the course of work (such as hidden damp, faulty wiring, or structural defects).

8. Insurance and Liability

  • ESSD Construction LTD holds public liability insurance covering our work.
  • Our liability for any claim shall not exceed the total value of the contracted work.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from our services.
  • Claims must be notified to us in writing within 7 days of discovering an issue.

9. Health and Safety

We comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, including the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. We carry out risk assessments and take appropriate measures to ensure the safety of our workers and clients during all work.

10. Data Protection

We collect and process personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal information collected via our website or in the course of providing services is used solely for the purpose of delivering our services and communicating with clients.
